Ida Varošanec, LLM (PhD Candidate)
Ida Varošanec works as a PhD candidate at the Business Law, European Law and Tax Law department at the University of Groningen. She conducts research at the intersection of EU public law, intellectual property law and technology law in the context of artificial intelligence where private interests of AI developing companies impede the public interest in transparency of AI-assisted decisions. Ultimately, her PhD project aims towards the facilitation of co-existence between transparency and intellectual property rights in the upcoming European AI regulatory framework. Beyond her PhD topic, Ida is interested in how artificial intelligence impacts and shapes the traditional notions of IP law.
